a rockstar in the making , thanks Pop Pop!

One of the small and wonderful things our Pop pop left behind was a harmonica, that we gave to our little musician Luke.  Here is a video of him practicing for his first tour!

this is for you dad!

Here is our Mason as Davy Crockett at the SMS Wax Museum this past Wednesday.  It was fantastic.  All the kids of the second grade got to pick a person they wanted to research and be.  They looked up books in the library and on the web and made reports for their biographies.  Then painted life size pictures.  The school was buzzing with all the student, teachers and parents walking around visiting the museum and pressing buttons  to hear the images come alive.

25 Things ...

1. I still think Im underaged and get nervous around the cops..even when they are younger than me??
2. I never wanted to get married until I met my husband.
3. I never wanted to have kids,but love them so much it hurts.
4. I wish my mom lived at least 2 hrs. closer.
5. I still dont understand why my friends like me so much but I take their love & caring graciously & wish I can repay them.
6. I cant stand cats...sorry they make me itch and kinda scare me.
7. I still miss my Opa and wish he got to meet my husband.
8. I wish I could find my "thing", Ive always just been average, average grades, athlete, artist...etc..
9. I believe in heaven and that my childrens' angels picked me to be their mother 
10. I am a true believer in naturpathic medicine, it has helped out with my children & I so much its hard not to. 
11. I am not ashamed that I needed medication for a nervous breakdown & know that I am not alone.
12. I wish my kids could see their cousins who live in England. 
13. I LOVE my sister & mother-in-law & know I am lucky.
14. my mom is my best friend
15. I take full responsibly for my actions & do not blame anyone else...I hate people who do blame others..step it up!
16. I truly believe the good and hard working will prevail!
17. I sometimes wish I had a daughter but know that it is meant to be, she might have turned out like me !?
18. My husband is the most giving, charitable, loving person on this planet..& KNOW he adores me tremendously.
19. I love the color orange.
20. I try to be girlie, but just cant?
21. Im happy with my bra size god damn it!
22. The best medicine for me is a book in bed or a long walk in the woods
23. My biggest accomplishment was a bike/camping tour I did with complete strangers from Las vegas to the Grand Canyon over 800 miles long.
24. I want a Porsche 911 with TWO seats and room for one bag!..convertible of course! & I'm driving with Claude..FAST cross- country
25. my husband's sensibility & "foot" dance, my Mason's quirky imagination, my Cole's piercing green eyes & my Luke's smile keep me going

a quick post after a L O N G holiday

here are just a few pictures from our holiday season.  My folks came from NY, uncle Bob flew in from Chicago and then our dear friends the DeGloria's joined us to ring in the new year in 4 degree weather!  Couldnt ask for anything better to do with my time than eat, drink and be merry with my favorite people!
