Was surprised to hear that a few of you wanted to know about our past spring break trip we took down to NY.. So here is goes..

The 5 hour ride started out in the rain with 3 very excited boys, I think Luke said," Nana's house." for the first hour of the ride. We reached my girlfriend Caron's home in Fairfield CT for lunch and was amazed by the castle that she lives in.  As always she was so grateful and giving. 

 Then onward bound to my Momma's.  Here we got Mason a new bike for his 7th birthday and had ice cream cake with Uncle Bob in from Chicago. We weren't able to see another old friend from college due to Mason's feeling ill.  He seemed to have caught the stomach bug that was going around.  But we made it to the movie theater to see " Horton Hears a Who"  I just love Steve Carroll (sp?) he has a way of cracking me up as a human on tv and a cartoon "Who". We also made it to the Long Island Children's Museum and both my mom & brother got into the action, we played tons of baseball and got to the park to slide and swing.  We ate good ole' NY pizza and bagels,( just that is worth the trip) and bought new sneakers for camp. 

Then headed up to Pawling to see my best-est friend Cathy and her family.  As always she also was grateful and generous with food and presents for the kids.  After Mason threw up and Mike cleaned it up, we got back on the road home Sunday to a very lonely and excited daddy.  He made the kids a HUGE sandpit out back while we were away.  So now we can cross off one thing from the kids " what I want to do this summer"list!
