What a fantastic week! Not only was the weather perfect (warm during the day and rain at night) and no need to water my garden, but Claude took the WHOLE week off AND our dear "old" friends Belinda and Jay with their daughter Abigail came to visit over the Fourth of July weekend!
I have known Belinda (and Jay for that matter) for over 20 years (yes, making me 38 this year folks, stop counting!) And like any great friend, no matter how far
we live from each other or how infrequent we talk or see each other, when we do get together it is like the good ole' days. They are such a great couple to be around! So positive and funny, smart and they still after ALL these
years together adore each other immensely. They are giving , loving and inspiring friends. Belinda may be the most dedicated and caring mother on this planet and Jay has a way of making Claude & I laugh for 3 days straight.
We ate, drank and were very merry. Taking a trip to the coast and showing them our new neighborhood. Luke and Abigail were the cutest together and I was happy to see him playing with someone his age. She loved his trains and they didn't make a peep , sharing
and drawing. They loved to make their mommy's birthday cake and juice while taking a bath together.
Mason thinks they are going to get married since they kissed each other..: )
The rest of the week we just chilled. Claude took the boys to see Wall-E, I caught up on some cleaning and unpacking (yes, still doing that!) , went to the beach, sprayed each other with the
hose, gardened and Mason enjoyed his first week at camp.
Now we are back to the grind with daddy back at work with a frown but looking forward to the plans we have in the future seeing more old and new friends.
