Well after taking in our good friends the Fosses who had no power or heat for 5 days, I know my children have learned what Christmas is about ...even Maxine! We all had to live, share and take care of each other. There were no fights, no major arguments and they all listened to us parents. It was kind of like communal living. Everyone pitching in, cleaning up, taking turns, fetching wood, stoking the fire, grocery runs, book reading , even picking up the dog poop! Yes, it was an inconvenience but it was a lesson and a memory we will ALL remember.
This was the meaning of Christmas.
